OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Oklahoma City Warriors, proud members of the NA3HL, announced Friday the signing of forward Hunter Pipe.
Pipe, 18, spent last season with the USPHL Elite’s Atlanta Mad Hatters, reuniting with his then-defensive counterpart Ben Craft.
“Hunter brings a level of physicality, toughness, and presence to our lineup that we’re excited to add,” Assistant Coach Artem Lantukh said. “Although mainly playing defense, I believe he will excel as a center. He competes hard, plays with an edge, and makes life difficult for opponents. We believe his size and physical style will be a great fit for our group, and we’re excited to welcome Hunter to the team.”
In 41 games with the Mad Hatters, the 6-foot-3 center registered three goals and 10 assists.
Prior to embarking on his junior career, the Corning, New York native capped off his youth career with the Kansas City Fighting Saints, logging two goals and two assists in 22 games played.
Pipe and the Warriors are on the road to take on the Phoenix Inferno tonight, with puck drop from AZ Ice Peoria in Peoria, Arizona set for 8:15 p.m. MDT.
